March 24, 2023, last day to purchase TTC tokens from retail outlets

As part of the ongoing modernization of our fare payment system, we will stop selling TTC tokens through retail outlets such as convenience stores, pharmacies and grocery stores on March 24, 2023. We stopped selling TTC tickets and tokens at TTC stations in December 2019. You can continue to pay your fare with TTC tokens or tickets you still have. 

You can also switch to PRESTO at any time by purchasing and loading a card with money or a monthly pass at:

• Fare Vending Machines at all TTC subway stations;
• Shoppers Drug Mart locations;
• Online at prestocard.ca;
• PRESTO app (load only) and;
• The TTC’s Customer Service Centre, 1900 Yonge Street, above Davisville Station.

Complimentary PRESTO cards are also available for individuals who do not yet have one, from select Toronto Public Library Branches, while quantities last.
